Mechanical Site Engineer (Chiller Specialist)
We are looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Site Engineer with expertise in chiller systems, covering design, site inspection, refurbishment, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. The role involves managing and supervising all technical aspects of chiller plants while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Chiller System Expertise:
- Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
- Centrifugal, screw, and scroll compressors.
- Pumps, cooling towers, refrigerants, and control systems.
Project Lifecycle Management:
- Pre-installation site surveys and assessments.
- Supervision of chiller erection, alignment, piping, and wiring.
- Overseeing chiller replacement, upgrades, and refurbishment.
- Performance optimization and post-commissioning analysis.
Testing & Commissioning:
- Functional testing, refrigerant charging, and pressure/leak tests.
- Ensuring optimal system efficiency and reliability.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnosing faults in compressors, heat exchangers, pumps, and control panels.
Hydronics & Piping Systems:
- Installation and connection of chilled water piping, expansion tanks, valves, and strainers.
- Ensuring proper flow balancing and hydraulics performance.
BMS & Automation Integration:
- Coordination with building management systems (BMS) for optimal control.
- Enhancing energy efficiency and automation settings.
Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local HVAC codes.
- Preparing technical reports, commissioning logs, and inspection records.
