Communicate engineering/technical/quality requirements to the team.
Perform material inspection and ensure that it conforms to the requirements.
Act on the ITP approved for the project and follow up on the inspection requirements.
Knowledge in welding processes and welding consumables.
Perform inspection at vendor shop facilities and work-sites, on fabricated pipes, steel structures, blasting, painting works, galvanizing or other installation works per ASME and ANSI codes, including verification of tests at their premises.
Check for weld joint preparations, fit-up alignment, dimensional tolerances, and visual check on welds.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections before, during, and after welding to ensure compliance.
Conduct preservation inspections for equipment.
Prepare test packages and compile inspection documents.
Follow up on corrective actions of non-conforming products.
Perform line walk inspections.
Ensure flange management in the project.
Ensure material handling and cleanliness in the project.
Desired Candidate Profile:
B.E/B. Tech/Diploma with a minimum of 8+ years of overall experience.
Minimum 5 years specific experience in mechanical inspection in tank construction in oil & gas projects in GCC.
Familiar with tank mechanical installations & inspection processes, welding processes, and materials, and familiar with static equipment related to Aramco & international codes.
Must be a certified API 653 inspector and certified in ASNT NDT level-II in VT, PT, MT, RT & UT.
Added advantage if having Aramco approvals & passed the CBT examination in static equipment.
