Mechanical Engineering - Co-op Trainee

Job Summary:

The Cooperative Training will provide an overview and training in various Engineering functions/verticals, with a primary focus on processes based on a two-month program.

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborative Trainees will work under the supervision and guidance of respective vertical leaders and will work closely with team leads and supervisors for day-to-day activities as follows:
• Learning various systems and procedures used by these verticals.
• Assisting in preparing weekly/monthly reports/activities, including developing and utilizing databases and various other reports.
• Shadowing and learning from experienced professionals in the field.
• Assisting with day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
• Conducting research and analysis as required.
• Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Students must be in the final stages of graduation.
• Bachelor of Science degree program in Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university.
• Students should qualify to undergo the training as part of the university curriculum.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 out of 4 or 4 out of 5.
• Excellent skills in oral and written communication.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Good communication skills; the ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable, maintaining a positive and professional attitude under stress.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adaptability and flexibility.
• Students should be from the core mechanical engineering field.
• Good academic background.
• Basic principles and practices knowledge.
• Problem-solving abilities, data entry and verification skills, and a working knowledge of computers and various software applications.
