Mechanical Design Engineer

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, electrical engineering, and procurement, to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability.
• Recognize and resolve design challenges or limitations while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Identify and address design issues or constraints, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with manufacturing, electrical engineering, and procurement teams to guarantee the feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability of designs.
• Collaborate effectively with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers to ensure the smooth integration of mechanical designs throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

Skills

• SCE certificate.
• Experience in designing HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems.
• Preferred experience with Revit.
• Proficient in design programs such as HAP, Elite Fire, Auto-Sprink, duct sizer, fan selection, etc.
• 5-6 years of experience in mechanical design.
• 2 years of execution experience on-site.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
• Demonstrated track record in mechanical design.
• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations associated with mechanical design.
• Ability to effectively employ engineering analysis and simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate designs.
