Role Summary:

As a Materials Planner, you will organize and execute the processes necessary to fulfill customer requirements within the assigned region. You will act as the voice of the customer when requesting prioritization for supply chain planning.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Analyzing incoming demand, identifying order exceptions, and supporting the region on supply plant realignment and delivery commitments.
2. Planning and scheduling order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs.
3. Prioritizing and communicating customer requirements to logistics teams for physical processing and final shipment details.
4. Performing various shipping management analyses to prevent or reduce delays on material availability dates, aged shipment status, or past-due deliveries.
5. Collaborating between multiple teams including purchasing, warehouse, production, and logistics to establish the optimal timing for supply commitments.
6. Identifying ways to simplify and improve processes as part of a continuous improvement culture.
7. Organizing reports to provide regions updates on performance and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications Requirements:

1. Strong oral and written communication skills.
2. Experience in inventory or order management, customer service, shipping, or logistics.
3. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests at once with a CAN-DO approach.
4. Demonstrated working knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.
5. Basic understanding of Excel macros and template utilization.
6. Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field or equivalent experience (2+ years’ experience).
