Manage inventory levels required to meet shipment and operations objectives through manufacturing or purchasing procurement. Plan, schedule, coordinate and/or monitor the flow of products through the complete production cycle.
Expedite with Suppliers and Manufacturing personnel as required to meet/exceed Customer Service requirements. Support warehouse during material segregation and other operational activities for all IP Models. Manage spare parts ordering, expediting & receiving to serve production targets for AM spares.
Essential Responsibilities:
Schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum safety stock levels.
Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.
Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
Understand and manage risks to minimise impact on production schedule.
Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production.
Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
Utilise any Material Requirements Planning system (MRP) or IT system that is in place and ensure that data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required.
Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
Support inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy.
Minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organisation.
Review daily order reports to identify product requirements.
Create purchase orders.
Modify existing purchase orders.
Other activities as part of sourcing system for a wide range of mechanical parts.
Expedite deliveries.
Work with suppliers to balance capacity and requirements to satisfy OTP and inventory levels.
Execute ECN materials actions.
Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies due to lost parts and supplier non-conformance issues.
Manage supplier/manufacturing stocking programs.
Backup co-workers as required due to vacation, illness etc.
Identify safety stock revisions.
Assist supply chain with supplier relations by reviewing on a monthly basis.
Work with engineering, contracts and planner to develop safety stock levels to support project demand.
Communicate any delays caused by abnormal demand, salvage, scrap or late parts.
Work with suppliers and manufacturing to establish priorities when bottlenecks exist. Requires making decisions on partial shipments, splitting machining lots and other possibilities to maximize customer service.
Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate price and terms with suppliers and recommend based on cost, quality and delivery.
Coordinate as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between manufacturing operations and suppliers.
Initiate and facilitate problem-solving skills, implement solutions and track results.
Identify, suggest and implement process improvements by taking own initiative and generate lean projects in purchasing department.
Establish, retain and maintain data integrity with the current running ERP system.
Cost reduction initiatives.
Resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases.
Serve technical focal for special or high level audits & assessments of supplier’s systems, processes & products.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Engineering with minimum of 5 Years of experience in relevant field.
EXPERIENCE: 5 years.
OTHER SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Managerial experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. PC Literate. Knowledge of Goulds Pumps Products preferred. ERP & SAP software fluencies. Query processing ERP/Excel. Presentation skills & ability to manage multiple priorities.
