Job Description



The Marketing Manager designs and delivers critical aspects of the marketing strategy to achieve commercial objectives and revenue targets. Achieves this through delivery of the brand, accurate customer segmentation, data analytics, campaign planning and multi-channel optimisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Ownership and accountability for marketing strategy, including planning, implementation, management, and optimisation for both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
  2. Delivers on strategic KPIs by driving online traffic, leads and conversions and presenting ongoing results in regular updates.
  3. Understands visitor and exhibitors’ digital behaviour, through continual testing and reporting on channel and campaign performance.
  4. Benchmarks and sets new KPI targets to measure and elevate the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
  5. Works with supporting agencies to develop the strategy and setup of all paid campaigns.
  6. Measures and optimizes paid marketing using vendor-specific dashboards and marketing analytics reports.
  7. Identifies evolving SEO practices and collaborates to develop new digital campaigns.
  8. Develops creative organic search growth strategies for each stage of a customer lifecycle.
  9. Collaborates with content marketing to create high-quality content around important, relevant terms.
  10. Manages and improves organic search engine performance based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.
  11. Designs and implements testing and optimisation strategies.

LEADERSHIP



  1. Works with line reports & marketing team to ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns.
  2. Line manages digital marketer/s to successfully implement campaign strategies.
  3. Provides guidance, feedback and inspiration to line reports.

ANALYSIS & INSIGHT



  1. Monitors campaign performances by producing relevant and timely reports.
  2. Recommends changes to campaign execution based on data insights.
  3. Identifies trends and insights, optimizing spend and performance based on insights.
  4. Shares relevant insights with the wider marketing team and senior management to drive revenues.

PLANNING & CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT



  1. Works with the marketing team to plan campaigns to meet strategic objectives.
  2. Monitors operational implementation plans and ensures adherence to deadlines.
  3. Assists marketing managers with the development of marketing budgets.

MARKETING EXECUTION



  1. Identifies the target universe and key segments within the target universe.
  2. Assists with the development of personas, value propositions, and messaging.
  3. Ensures timely, relevant communications are sent through a full mix of digital channels.

Qualifications



  1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Marketing Manager.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience



  1. Thorough understanding & experience of digital marketing.
  2. Database development and growth including segmentation.
  3. Building relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  4. Analytical and questioning mindset.
  5. Strong copywriting skills.
  6. Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Proficient in MS Office.
  9. Able to quickly adopt new technology solutions.

Desirable



  1. Experience with marketing automation technology.
  2. Working with CMS platforms.
  3. Managing social media through scheduling platforms.
  4. Marketing analytics and reporting platforms.
  5. Events marketing experience.
