Job description

Eram Talent is actively seeking an Instrument Technician specializing in Marine applications to join their dynamic team in Jeddah. As a key player in the Oil & Energy sector, you will contribute to maintaining and optimizing instrumentation systems critical for marine operations. Our company is dedicated to sourcing highly skilled professionals, ensuring that our clients receive top-tier talent across diverse industries including Oil & Gas, Marine, Infrastructure, and more.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine instrumentation systems, including navigation systems, control valves, sensors, and monitoring equipment. You will collaborate closely with engineers and marine specialists to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain marine instrumentation and control systems, including familiarity with using various oceanographic instruments, soldering stations, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other instruments as required.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation issues related to marine operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of marine instrumentation equipment.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure alignment with marine operational requirements.
  • Document maintenance activities and update technical records accordingly.
  • Prepare reports on instrumentation performance and recommend improvements.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and implement best practices in marine instrumentation operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, robotics, or a similar field.

Minimum two years of relevant experience working on marine technology projects.

Experience of the following would be an advantage (although not essential):

  • Previous work in the Middle East.
  • Experience in working with Saudi Government Ministries.
  • Experience working offshore and in coastal marine projects.
  • Ability to speak and write Arabic.
  • Experience in building and designing marine survey systems.
