Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Location: Riyadh
Our Opportunity: The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will manage and coordinate the manufacturing activities within the subcontractor facilities and be the primary point of contact at an operational/delivery level between the subcontractors and Thales OME (Optronics and Missile Electronics) UK.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will be part of a manufacturing team to deliver products to schedule and quality.
- The jobholder will be responsible for supporting the transfer of new products from the development environment into the production environment within STES’ subcontractor’s facilities and ensuring that the technical performance, functionality, and quality are maintained and delivered in accordance with the customers’ needs.
- In a program environment, the jobholder will be responsible for the planning, estimating, execution of engineering activities, and management associated with the assembly and test of the product.
- The jobholder will lead a cross-function manufacturing team and work in conjunction with the Program Managers (STES & Thales UK), Industrial Architect (Thales UK), Manufacturing Engineer (Thales UK), Product Design Authority (Thales UK), and Systems Engineering Manager (Thales UK).
- The jobholder will support the implementation of the manufacturing activities in accordance with the plans and flowcharts within the constraints of the manufacturing environment.
- The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the activities within the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
- The jobholder will actively network with fellow engineers to improve their knowledge and domain experience.
About You:
- 10+ years working in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment (Electronics).
- Relevant degree in Engineering (Preferably Electronics OR Electrical).
- Good experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) and Transfer of Production.
- Experience leading a team and managing stakeholders (local and global) in a factory environment.
- Experience in Electronics or Electrical design, assemblies, circuits boards, and testing on boards.
- Have proven experience of working in different manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
- Have experience of managing non-conformance (e.g. Failure Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action).
- Experience in Process control and Statistical analysis.
- Be self-motivated and capable of working alone and with teams.
- Have good written, oral and presentation skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non-technical customers.
- Have an analytical, methodical, and organized approach.
- Experience of working in the defence/aerospace sector is desirable but not mandatory.
