Job description

Job Purpose:

Provide vision and strategy for all digital transformation activities including creating internal and external partnerships, identifying relevant supporting tools, methodologies and technologies, managing and implementing digital transformation strategic roadmap, implementing data governance, and leading the underlying technology platform development needed to enable digital transformation across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Align digital capabilities with the strategic priorities of the business. Create a vision, define a strategy, and execute a plan to support the unification of the company's digital approach
  • Define and executes a strategy for the core systems/platforms/networks that is cost effective and reduces complexity.
  • Communicate Digital Transformation strategy to management, staff, partners, Members, and stakeholders as and when appropriate.
  • Define the digital architecture of SASREF while balancing digital assets and computing services with financial and marketing needs. Seamless integration of digital and information technology assets, through product and service design, financial statement and management reporting.
  • Provide enterprise-wide direction on the use of emerging digital transformation technologies for Oil and Gas sector.
  • Recommend and implements process improvements to achieve operational efficiency and excellence.
  • Participate on the IT Committee and Project Steering Committee, ensuring digital and IT risk management and governance is aligned with enterprise needs, risk appetite and, as appropriate, industry best practice.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for innovation and digital initiatives. Provide the vision and strategy for digital, deploy and administer the digital project portfolio and oversee the implementation and adoption of digital technologies to enhance business process and support the strategic plans of the organization.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for digital process innovation. Help other leaders leverage digital to identify and pursue their business opportunities. Be the executive intermediary during the rollout of digital platforms.
  • Maintain oversight and leverage synergies across a variety of digital initiatives. Measure new efficiencies and ROI improvements due to digital initiatives and integrate with enterprise KPIs. Establish programs to replace manual processes with technology to drive both cost savings and revenue creation.
  • Oversee high-level architectural specifications, ensuring flexibility, feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing data platforms. Determine and implement policies related to digital.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a roadmap including the data management processes, policies, technologies and principles to support a consolidated data model and standardized process and technology platform.
  • Evaluate business, data, process and technology requirements; and support in developing standards and integration approaches required. Be the bridge between data and business operations.
  • Develop and maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders (including solution vendors and external SMEs) to effectively drive aligned business results.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by all direct reports. Plan and manage the budget allocation for the department on an on-going basis.
  • Ensure business processes and work activities, relevant to the position, are executed in compliance with company policy, procedures and best practice to achieve the business objectives in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and assess the assigned team to achieve business objectives and grow capability.
  • Develop ways to attract and retain top talent.
  • Collaborates with appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support SASREF organizational needs.
  • Share responsibility for the formulation and implementation of the Digital Transformation strategic plan by active participation as an Executive team member in strategy planning forums as the digital subject matter expert.
  • Establish and set short and long-range objectives for the digital strategy and gains buy-in of the various stakeholders and establishing criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or computer sciences.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in business, operations or technology in which minimum 3 years of demonstrated management and leadership experience.
  • Broad experience desired in multiple domain areas: Analytics, IOT, blockchain, Mobility and Cybersecurity.
