Job Summary:
Vanderlande is responsible for the Service & Maintenance of the Baggage Handling System at different Airports. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work with global, cross-disciplinary teams to apply model-based design, analytical verification tools and methods to lead component and product reliability projects for material logistic systems. You will determine and advise on maintenance demands and translate maintenance concepts into effective maintenance plans and standard operating procedures.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities)

• Translates maintenance concepts into executable and effective maintenance plans.
• Prepares and implements maintenance plans in our Maximo maintenance management system, including asset tree, inventory management, performance dashboards, reports, etc.
• Uses and develops analysis methods for determining maintenance demands for components, equipment, and systems. Acquires maintenance data and analyzes the data to optimize maintenance plans.
• Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports for avoiding maintenance delays and to reduce operational impacts.
• Makes recommendations for improvements of the assets.
• Develops, implements, and trains standard operating procedures.
• Conducts analysis and advises on maintainability for modified or new systems and supports maintenance planners and technicians in execution of maintenance plans.
• Identifies, evaluates, and analyzes structural problems to optimize maintenance plans and processes during the contract period by analyzing the maintenance performance and adjusting the planning accordingly.
• Develops standard operating procedures and training for maintenance execution.
• Draws up improvement plans and leads the execution.
• Participates as a maintenance specialist in criticality analyses (RI, FMECA, Process Hazard Analyses, etc.).
• Manages and helps less experienced colleagues as a senior specialist. Provides senior technical support to maintenance technicians and trains site-based peers.
• Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in electrical/electro-mechanical field.
• Minimum 5 years technical experience in an industrial environment.
• Working experience with mechanical, electrical, and controls (PLC, PC) systems is a must.
• Able to lead multi-disciplinary teams for developing maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of and experience with IBM Maximo or equivalent CMM.
• Excellent reporting, presentation, verbal, and oral communication skills in English and Arabic languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years material handling experience.
• Minimum of 3 years CMMS experience preferred.
