Job Summary:

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities within the facility, ensuring that all equipment, systems, and structures are functioning effectively and safely. This role involves coordinating maintenance schedules, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance Planning:
    • Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities.
    • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of assets.
    • Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and repairs.
  2. Vendor Management:
    • Liaise with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance services.
    • Obtain quotes, evaluate bids, and oversee contracts for maintenance projects.
    • Ensure that all work performed by vendors meets quality and safety standards.
  3. Work Order Management:
    • Receive, prioritize, and assign work orders for maintenance and repairs.
    • Monitor the status of work orders and ensure timely completion.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  4. Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
    • Implement safety training programs for maintenance staff.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Assist in the development and management of the maintenance budget.
    • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings in maintenance operations.
  6. Team Coordination:
    • Supervise and support maintenance staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
    • Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the maintenance team.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or technical certification in maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance coordination or facilities management.
    • Experience in a supervisory role is a plus.
