The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the Distribution Manager on all Supply Chain Execution activities related to Regional Distribution Centre operations. You will participate in cross-functional activities/projects and assignments together with internal and external partners and continue to seek creative ways to improve the overall productivity of the organisation.
As the Logistics Specialist at Hilti, you will be responsible for interfacing with service providers to ensure on-time imports and exports of shipments and on all aspects of warehousing operations including inbound, inventory management, outbound reverse logistics, and other administrative activities to ensure our customers' business requirements are met. Furthermore, you will work cross-functionally, use lean management tools, adapt global standards/guidelines, and sustainably solve root cause issues to achieve cost productivity, efficiencies, or service improvements.
In this role, you will be required to work closely with other Hilti functions such as Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, etc. to ensure better service to our customers while also understanding, interpreting, and communicating global KPIs and performance management reporting.
Finally, as part of this role you will be responsible for cost management and conducting necessary audits and checks to ensure that risk mitigating controls are in place within all aspects of operations.
