KONE Logistics vision is to offer a seamless material flow to our customers providing quality, transparency, and proactive communication. To achieve this, we are looking for a Regional Logistics Manager to lead logistics teams and operations across the region reporting to the Logistics Director APM.
Responsibilities
- Represents the local Logistics Cluster and report to Area Logistics Director
- Develop and execute logistics strategies for the Cluster with Global and Area logistics, and business stakeholders in NBS, MOD and Service
- Manages local country logistics teams
- Coordinates with local Country teams to ensure timely, quality and cost competitive supply of equipment and spare parts within the Cluster
- Collaborates with Logistics Development Management
- Identifies cross-unit/cross regional logistics partner network opportunities and risks
- Manages logistics budget within Cluster
People Management
- Coordinates and oversees the work of subordinates and contributes to the organization’s logistics strategy in an effective and consistent way and according to established guidelines and budgets
- Responsible for team competence development, employee satisfaction, and motivation
- Sets and monitors team/individual performance objectives
- Responsible for communication to the team
- Responsible for people management of the team
- Responsible for KONE Way Logistics Operating Model in the Cluster, including related organizational setup and resourcing
- Ensure effective deployment and benefit realization of KONE Way and local initiatives
- Provide input and feedback about changes needed to KONE Way
Performance Measures
- On Time Delivery, Damages, Clearance compliance, Cost/unit, inventory accuracy, etc.
- Savings performance in Cluster
- Logistics contract coverage of consumed logistics services in area (following global service offering management)
- Health and safety
- Quality and timeliness of Logistics reporting in area
Professional Requirements
- International logistics management

- Costing and account management
- Technical and/or commercial degree, MSc in relevant major (e.g., Logistics and Supply Chain) and/or MBA as a plus
- Fluent level of English is a must, additional languages (e.g., Arabic) as a plus
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Logistics, supply chain management, or relevant area
- Proven ability to work in an international environment
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Should have proven leadership / cross-functional team skills
- Experience with SAP or similar procurement systems preferred
- Project Management and Process Improvement experience
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written, ability to communicate effectively to varied audiences
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Understanding of and experience with supplier and subcontractor negotiations, understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services
