We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Engineer to oversee and manage logistics operations for a major supervision project in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, and experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Your new role, what's involved?

  1. Review Contractor's logistics plan and make recommendations for approval to the Client.
  2. Investigate and recommend procurement options for temporary facilities for the Project, including offices and associated office equipment, canteens, access roads, and temporary utilities to enable the continuous operation throughout the life of the Project.
  3. Manage the interface between all Contractors on-site, including construction programmes, access, deliveries, waste, and security.
  4. Review and monitor site procedures for the storage of materials by the Contractor for the protection of equipment and materials and work performed at the site.
  5. Advise the Client regarding their statutory and regulatory duties with regards to logistics, particularly those with health, safety and environment implications.
  6. Establish a Project and Site Security plan and recommend to the Client procurement options for services and installations.
  7. Attend and participate in weekly site logistics meetings and Project coordination meetings to address and resolve all related issues.
  8. Maintain accurate logistics documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
  9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  10. Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during site operations.
  11. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a construction or infrastructure project environment.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  4. Familiarity with logistics management systems and software.
  5. Proficiency in Arabic and English.
