Logistics Officer - GPS Tracking and Document Control

Position Overview:
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the logistics functions within the organization, with a primary focus on GPS tracking of vehicles and asset management. This role also involves maintaining and managing documents, ensuring accurate records, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong organizational skills, and is experienced in logistics tracking software and document control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • GPS Tracking and Asset Monitoring
  • Monitor and track the movement of vehicles and assets using GPS tracking software.
  • Ensure all assets are accounted for and recorded accurately in the system.
  • Generate reports on the location, usage, and condition of vehicles and equipment.
  • Alert team members to any discrepancies or unauthorized movements.
  • Document Control and Management
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all logistics documents, including shipping manifests, invoices, and inventory logs.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for customs, import/export, and compliance as needed.
  • Create, organize, and maintain filing systems for both digital and physical records.
  • Logistics Planning and Coordination
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including route planning and scheduling.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Address and resolve logistics-related issues in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Inventory and Stock Management
  • Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and manage stock to prevent shortages or overages.
  • Track inventory movement, conduct regular audits, and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure safe and secure storage of inventory, following best practices and organizational protocols.
  • Reporting and Compliance
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on logistics activities, including GPS tracking logs, inventory reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, local and international regulations, and safety standards.
  • Assist in audits by providing accurate documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, with a focus on GPS tracking and document control.
  • Proficiency with logistics tracking software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong understanding of document control practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼4,000.00 - ﷼5,000.00 per month
