The Legal Manager is responsible for overseeing all legal activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across AlJammaz Group. This role provides strategic legal advice, drafts and reviews contracts, and mitigates legal risks for the organization. Reporting to senior leadership, the Legal Manager supervises the Legal Officer and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to align legal practices with the groups strategic and operational objectives.
What Youll Be Doing :
Legal Advisory & Compliance
Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on corporate, contractual, and operational matters.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across all business units.
Monitor changes in legislation and advise on their impact on the organizations operations.
Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to minimize risks.
Contracts & Agreements
Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, employment contracts, and service agreements.
Ensure all contracts comply with legal standards and protect the organizations interests.
Maintain a centralized repository of legal documents, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
Dispute Resolution & Risk Mitigation
Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
Assess legal risks and provide actionable recommendations to minimize liabilities.
Collaborate with external counsel to ensure cost-effective and efficient legal support.
Corporate Governance
Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, including company registration and licensing compliance.
Support the preparation of board meetings, shareholder agreements, and other governance-related documentation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the groups corporate structure and legal obligations.
Supervise and mentor the Legal Officer, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Assign tasks and monitor the Legal Officers performance to ensure high-quality outputs.
Conduct regular team meetings to review objectives, discuss challenges, and align on priorities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, HR, and Business Units operations, to address legal matters effectively.
Act as the primary liaison with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
Provide training to employees on legal and compliance matters, fostering a culture of awareness and adherence.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare regular reports on legal risks, compliance status, and ongoing cases for senior management.
Ensure accurate documentation and archiving of all legal activities, contracts, and case files.
Develop and maintain a legal database for reference and reporting purposes.
What Were Looking For :
Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Masters degree in Law (LLM) is preferred.
8+ years of experience in corporate or commercial law, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience in contract management, compliance, and dispute resolution.
Membership in a recognized legal association or bar in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
Technical : Proficiency in legal drafting, compliance, and risk assessment. Experience with legal research tools and contract management software.
Languages : Arabic Native and fluency in English is required.
Skills : Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, adaptability, and excellent collaboration and communication skills.
