Lead Technical Safety Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Technical Safety Engineer to work in our PMS project in Khafji in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• At least fourteen (14) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• PMC experience at a similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Fire Protection, Fire & Gas detection experience in the design of Fire Protection systems.
• Process Safety Studies, utilities, and offsite facilities experience at the conceptual, FEED, or detailed design stage of medium to large size projects.
• Knowledge of process safety & Fire engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures.
• Extensive experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, and/or Infrastructure industries.
• Ensure Pre FEED Preliminary Hazard Assessment recommendations are included in FEED deliverables.
• Check, review, and approve all Technical safety deliverables by FEED contractor.
• Strong knowledge in Fire and Gas protection, FW network, and HSE studies and workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.)

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field.

Member of an appropriate professional organization.

Fifteen (15) years of experience; Ten (10) years of them within the field of Instrumentation & Control Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects. DCS experience required. Fire & Safety experience mandatory. FEED, Detailed Design Engineering/Design experience required.
