Position Title: Lead Process Engineer – KBR Consulting International

Location: Corniche, Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia

Background:

KBR Consulting International draws on a heritage of over thirty-five years specializing in the Front-end Loading (FEL) phases of engineering projects from pre-feasibility up to and including preliminary Front End Engineering Design (pre-FEED) phases. We undertake small FEEDs and provide specialist consultancy services through to later phases of projects.

Our clients range from large international firms to smaller independent companies. We are heavily involved globally in the transition from oil and gas to other energy sources including hydrogen and ammonia, decarbonization, production of biofuels, and the move towards minimal manning of offshore production facilities.

The process engineering team is at the heart of project design, using technical expertise and problem-solving skills to find optimum solutions while collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure a safe, robust, and economic design.

As a Lead Process Engineer, you will:

• Provide technical guidance and expertise during the execution of Feasibility and Conceptual studies.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality project documents in line with the required schedule.
• Interface with client technical staff to develop and present outcomes and discuss technical issues. Travel to client sites or offices may be required.
• Guide, mentor, and supervise junior engineers.
• Lead, or be part of, project and study teams according to the work scope.
• Support business development through technical input into proposals.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering or similar.
• 10 or more years of process engineering experience in one or more of the following sectors:
• Upstream Oil and Gas
• Oil Refining
• Petrochemicals
• Renewables
• Energy Transition
• Consultancy, Design office, or Operating Company experience preferred, with significant experience in a front-end Process Design environment.
• Saudi nationals/Iqama holders preferred. Bilingual proficiency (Arabic and English) is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Membership of a professional institution (IChemE, AIChE, or similar) and Chartered Engineer status preferred.
