Under general direction, is accountable for preparing Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates for KBR-AMCDE clientele.
Prepare estimate plan to be issued to client prior to the TIC estimate preparation.
Prepare all estimate classes for Saudi Aramco GES+, SABIC, SASREF & SATORP Projects.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Discipline Engineers and Department Heads to develop all the requirements needed for the TIC estimate.
Price generic & conceptual projects.
Calculate and identify allowances necessary for the estimate i.e. waste, freight, design development, escalation, change orders.
Develop historical database focused on the past production and cost history to provide improved estimating process.
Able to suggest appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with the customer and project requirement.
Able to analyze project scope of work and plot plans to have guide in the preparation of the TIC estimate.
Able to present and report the cost estimate to client.
Calculate estimates by using processes, labor availability and productivity, material prices, etc.
Develop and implement customized computer spreadsheet estimating system for conceptual estimating.
Perform QA/QC on the estimates of less experienced estimators.
Rely upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of project controls to ensure task completion is in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy.
Assist in coordinating with other departments task force members related to TIC estimates objectives.
Participate in regular progress and coordination meetings with the project.
Perform an active role in the KBR-AMCDE Internal Operation’s Meeting with the Project Director, Project Control Managers, OOK KBR Managers to ensure that the estimates to be submitted to client are properly reviewed.
Build strong relationships with the clients and manage their expectations.
Knowledge in Aspen Capital Cost Estimator is an advantage.
Familiarization with Saudi Aramco (SAEP-25) and SABIC (P.E.I 4.3.8) is an advantage.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
8+ years of experience is a must.
Bachelor/master’s in engineering is an advantage.
Specific experience and demonstrated skill in directing cost estimating, management, and cost analysis required.
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to successfully direct and motivate a team inclusive of interacting with client personnel.
Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction projects in the Oil & Gas industry required.
