Day-to-Day Activities of a Laundry Supervisor
- Supervising Laundry Staff:
- Leading and mentoring the laundry team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Conducting training sessions on laundry procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Managing Laundry Operations:
- Overseeing the washing, drying, and ironing of linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Ensuring that all laundry items meet the hotel's cleanliness and quality standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed.
- Quality Control:
- Inspecting laundered items for damage or stains and ensuring they are properly cleaned and presented.
- Implementing measures to minimize wastage and improve efficiency.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensuring that all laundry equipment is in good working condition.
- Coordinating with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Handling Guest Requests and Complaints:
- Addressing guest inquiries and complaints related to laundry services promptly and professionally.
- Ensuring that special requests, such as express laundry services, are fulfilled.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintaining accurate records of laundry activities, including usage of supplies and equipment maintenance.
- Preparing reports on laundry operations and expenses for management review.
- Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety Standards:
- Implementing and maintaining health and safety standards within the laundry department.
- Conducting regular safety training sessions for the laundry staff.

What we need from you
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration.
Two to three years prior tenure in a similar role.
International luxury hotel chain background.
