A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Promotes Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts.
- Develops, builds, and strengthens long-term relationships with stakeholders. Partners with physicians and hospital personnel on products and solutions.
- Supports technical/clinical needs at hospital including but not limited to therapy indications, pre-procedure planning, and intra-operative support.
- Provides technical expertise through presentations and product demonstrations.
- Conducts on-site education and consulting, as well as supporting the establishment and maintenance of customer relations with healthcare professionals and organizations.
- Provides on-call support as needed.
- Travels to customer clinics, hospitals, and offsite meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile.
- Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders.
- Works closely with commercial organization to recommend enhancements in sales processes, product launches, and optimize clinical support pathway.
- Has a solid understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Ongoing technical development by staying up to date on new products, solutions, and patient management offerings.
- Involvement in cross-functional assignments.
Must Haves
- 5+ years’ experience in the medical device industry and/or working in hospital environment.
- Deep understanding of cranial & spinal anatomy and pathology.
- Experience with supporting ortho-spine and neurosurgery procedures.
- Familiar with OT environment: sterilization and radiation protocols.
- Familiar with current products and technologies and market trends.
- Ability to teach and educate medical personnel, peers, and technical support personnel.
Nice to Haves
- Familiar with radiology protocols and imaging technology.
- Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry.
- Hospital/clinic experience.
- Ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
