Role Responsibilities
As a member of our Deals practice, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Depending on the business unit you’re interested in, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deals Strategy and Operations
- Provide strategic and operational advice from setting the deal strategy to post-deal execution.
- Advising funds on strategic decisions, conducting commercial due diligence on potential target acquisitions, developing business plans and corporate strategies, and assessing feasibility of potential investments.
- Identifying attractive targets and conducting analysis that correctly identifies potential added value.
- Develop the right concept in order to achieve sustainable added value.
Transaction Services
- Identify the right strategy depending on a merger, acquisition, disposal, listing, privatisation, valuation, restructuring, or green field project.
- Assist in executing the deal seamlessly, identify issues and points of negotiation & value, and implement changes to deliver synergies and improvements, after the deal.
Business Restructuring Services
- Assess options, negotiating, and implementing a financial restructuring.
- Advising lenders, borrowers, directors and shareholders.
- Financial advisory, Independent business reviews, Short-term cash flow reviews, Contingency planning, and implementation. Identify and implement financing solutions, how to get the best deal when resolving debt.
- Raising debt and providing advice on how to achieve the most optimal capital.
Corporate Finance
- Provide independent financial advice and creative solutions, raise new finance, or improve the efficiency of the funding of client balance sheets.
- Offering advice and support through all phases of the deal cycle from initiation to completion including identification of appropriate targets and resolving valuation inconsistencies between vendor and acquirer.
Capital Projects & Infrastructure
- Meeting the unprecedented challenges of sustainable growth, the transition to net zero, and a more connected, digital society.
- Measuring outcomes related to environmental, social, and economic terms.
- Focused on helping improve peoples’ lives through the provision of critically needed infrastructure.
- Leverage the creative mindset and problem-solving experience of our professionals, who include financial, technology, project management, risk management, and engineering specialists harnessing our precision, structure, analytical capabilities and drawing on our experience of working across sectors and throughout the entire project and asset lifecycle.
Forensics Services
- Support and deliver the solutions related to fraud, entering into formal disputes such as international arbitration, or optimising the delivery of capital investments.
Real Estate Advisory
- Provide a wide range of services to help create value for clients across developers, private equity funds, REITS, government institutions, and other segments of the industry, focused on the ME region.
- These include: strategy, market assessments, feasibility studies, business planning, portfolio restructuring and management, financial modelling, commercial due diligence, and operator search & selection.
Ideal Candidate profile
- 10+ years of relevant experience within any one of these areas: Financial Due Diligence, Valuations, Financial Modeling, Growth Strategy, Post Merger integrations and carve-outs, Corporate Finance, Civil Engineering Project Management, Digital/Data Analytics
- Experience of working in a Consulting or professional services environment would be an advantage
- Strong academic and industry background including either Finance, Accounting, Civil and/or Computer Engineering, Architecture, Data Management, or other relevant fields
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, MBA, PMP, Taqeem would be an advantage
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, establishing credibility both, internally with senior management, and externally with our clients
- Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
- Keen to support and drive business opportunities and growth
- Willingness to leverage technology-enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers
- Your flexibility to travel 40%-60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
