A medical sales representative is responsible for advertising, marketing, and distributing specific medical devices/equipment to relevant medical establishments. They meet with doctors and hospital teams and make presentations to persuade potential clients to use our products/brands, which include medical equipment, software, screens, etc., to a variety of customers, including hospitals and clinics in public and private sectors.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
Managing and achieving sales targets & collection for the area, per brand, salesmen, and customer.
Balancing sales between government sector & private sector accounts.
Present, demonstrate, and sell products to serve and meet customer needs.
Collaborate and supervise sales & maintenance on sales and service to achieve the company’s objectives.
Establish new accounts by evaluating, planning, and organizing daily work visit schedules for existing and potential sales opportunities.
Prepare a sales forecast report for management on a weekly/monthly basis submitted to the administrator coordinator.
Follow up on-site installation, training, and services when needed to support closing the sales deal and customer satisfaction.
Recommend to management changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results, competitive developments, and customer feedback.
Submit orders by referring to price lists, product info, and data sheets.
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly work reports and plans, and monthly and annual area analyses.
Monitor competition by gathering current market information on features, pricing, products, and new products.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending brand educational workshops, publications, and establishing personal networks.
Provide historical records by maintaining records and personal experience on area and customer sales.
Qualification
5 years+ experience as a medical sales representative or similar role.
Familiarity with databases, market statistics, product lines, and latest medical devices.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent teamwork and networking skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in sales.
