Position: Junior Legal Counsel for MENA (based in KSA)
Your primary duty is to support on legal matters in the MENA region (KSA, UAE, Egypt). This role involves direct interaction with internal clients as well as external parties such as clients, vendors, and other third parties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identifying and managing risk exposures, delivering proactive, effective, and strategic advice for our operations in MENA within the legal function.
  2. Advising on, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documents associated with each of the firm’s business lines with internal and external clients (service agreements, agency agreements, agreements with vendors, etc.).
  3. Assisting with general corporate, commercial, and regulatory work.
  4. Coordinating and managing work with third-party law firms (where relevant) to act as liaison to the wider MENA group.
  5. Assisting in processes and procedures in relation to legal & compliance document flow and correspondence (forms, templates, procedures, etc.) to ensure JLL and MENA best practices are followed.
  6. Performing other legal tasks and providing ongoing support to the business and Head of Legal in MENA.

  1. Educated and experienced, holding a law degree from a recognized law school and +2 years of post-admission experience in private practice or an in-house position.
  2. Experienced in commercial and government template contracts reviews.
  3. Fluent in English and Arabic (including legal terminology).
  4. Able to engage and manage a broad range of stakeholders with diverse skill sets and personalities in a multinational environment.
  5. Commercially savvy, with a highly responsive, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset. You are able to effectively juggle priorities to meet timeframes and deadlines set by the business.
