Responsible for leading a team of ICT & Security system engineers and designers to carry out detail engineering design and shop drawings.
Review the submitted network plans and specifications according to local and international codes and standards and international best practices.
Review operational network schematics submissions, material submissions against approved drawings and specifications, local laws, legal requirements, and international best practices.
Ensure that the design consultant complies with all Hill International and the Tunnel Authority's internal processes and procedures.
Ensure that all contracted design services are delivered within the deadlines specified for the customer.
Participation in value engineering procedure.
Participated in the design, investigation, and analysis of ICT networks, architecting networking, network installations and defining, documenting, and enforcing networking standards.
Responsible for review of the detail engineering design, specification and services related to communication, ICT, and security systems, such as satellite, data network systems, line of sight, fiber optics OSP, Data Network and Telephone systems, public address systems (PAGA), CCTV, TETRA, IPPS, microwave system (MW), Siren system and the transmission of data from supervisory control and data acquisition system. Under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in comprehensive mega projects. The job role includes taking overall responsibility for a network engineer in mega projects.
Experience with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, UDP, and IP.
Expertise in network technologies, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Expertise in network security principles and practices.
Experience in network troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience in network authentication best practices.
Experience in networking concepts, such as routing, switching, and traffic management.
Experience in network design principles, such as network experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure.
Experience with network automation tools, such as Ansible and Puppet.
Experience with network monitoring tools, such as Nagios and Zabbix.
Ability to assist site engineers and managers in all aspects of construction, installation, review of shop drawings, testing and commissioning of project elements.
