Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant operator primary purpose is to support line-related activities efficiently and effectively. Conduct manual activities (Duplex packing, exit area monitoring, machine-related activities). In addition, provide support to the operator to run the machine, and maintain proper housekeeping.

POSITION IN ORGANISATION

Direct Manager: Production (Packaging) FLM
Peers: Other Assistant Operators
Subordinates: None

Principal Accountabilities

1. Take actions as necessary to achieve the desired business results on bag makers (with or without reference to FLM).
2. Ensure that the machine achieves the required efficiency set by the department.
3. Achieve the material efficiency target set by the department.
4. Achieve the grams give away target set by the department.
5. Manage the packers working under his tubes (break time, cleaning during change flavour, time in and time out).
6. Maintain his workplace & machine clean (GMP).
7. Report all health hazards within his workplace to his immediate Direct Manager.
8. Ensure that quality packets are always produced.
9. Attend quality wall at least fifteen (15) times per month.
10. Implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the EHS Management System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance with the legislations, PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Knowledge / Skill

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic communication skills.
• Good working attitude.
