IT Systems Analyst

Incumbent is fully seasoned professional with in-depth experience in a particular field of corporate systems and either leads projects or works independently on complex assignments to implement and support Information technologies. The incumbent will:

• Provide direction/support in maintaining and configuring Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules, software and applications.
• Design and develop computer software and hardware.
• Provide recommendations on Information Technology (IT) systems.
• Manage Information Technology (IT) projects.
• Guide and mentor less experienced IT System Analysts.
• Seek self-development programs/education.

Function Description:

• Analyzes business processes to determine and recommend optimum solutions. Evaluates, develops, tests, deploys, documents, and supports programs, applications, database systems, networks, or application security systems to support corporate business users. Practices secure application development and mitigates any identified security risks in the supported applications or systems.
• Manages Information Technology (IT) projects and assigns tasks to project members.
• Manages, supports, enhances, approves, and implements changes and upgrades to existing computing infrastructure, open computer operating systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules, and applications. Adheres to change control procedures.
• Observes and studies new developments in Information Technology trends of the latest Industrial Revolution such as digital transformation, Advanced Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. Conducts continuous capacity planning exercises to ensure adequate hardware sizing for every application.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves application and system problems. Adheres to Service Level Agreements, if they exist, when supporting customers. Performs operations monitoring of IT systems and problem response and resolution. Provides continuous improvement feedback on IT operations, implemented business, and support.
• Engages with IT customers to evaluate possible enhancements for systems or applications. Presents applications, systems, and products to customers.
• Adheres to security and safety regulations and rules. Investigates minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures. Assists users in defining their access rights and privileges.
• Organizes knowledge management assets and oversees the lifecycle of capturing, classifying, and maintaining assets. Facilitates knowledge sharing and supports others to develop knowledge-sharing habits. Maintains professional and technical up-to-date job knowledge by acquiring technical certifications and participating in educational and knowledge-sharing activities. Guides and mentors junior colleagues.

Education Requirement:

Education Level: Bachelors

Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Systems and/or related degree.

Minimum Years of Experience: 10
