We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring employees have the technology, systems access, and support they need to perform their roles efficiently. This role is critical in managing IT devices, tracking custody, and overseeing the onboarding and offboarding process from an IT perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Device Management:
Distribute laptops and IT devices to employees.
Track the custody of IT devices and ensure their secure return during offboarding.
Maintain and update inventory records for IT assets.
Access Management:
Create, update, and revoke access to company systems and tools as per role requirements.
Collaborate with HR and department heads to ensure timely access management for onboarding and offboarding processes.
IT Support:
Provide first-level technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries, escalating issues as needed.
Onboarding and Offboarding:
Set up IT devices and ensure proper configuration for new hires.
Conduct IT orientation for new employees, introducing them to company systems and policies.
Decommission and sanitize IT devices during employee offboarding.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain IT document, policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of IT support requests and resolutions.
Assist with IT audits by ensuring compliance with access and asset management policies.
Essential Skills
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in managing IT hardware, software, and inventory systems.
Knowledge of user access management principles.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with IT asset management tools and ticketing systems.
Knowledge of IT security practices, including data protection and secure device handling.
