IT Disaster Recovery Analyst | Khobar, SA

Job Description

Job Purpose:

The IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) analyst will work with application and operations teams to review disaster recovery requirements for applications and systems and ensure they are updated. Support business continuity team with any demand related to disaster recovery activities. (S)he will support in validating and testing DR plans, and resume bank operations in the event of a disaster.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Coordinate with stakeholders on updating applications and systems DR plans, procedures, and performing required testing and alignment with BCM.
2. Support of IT DR Plan to resume normal operation in the event a disaster occurs.
3. Coordinate DR plan testing as per defined scope, outputs, and timescale, quality to ensure DR compliance & business requirements.
4. Review/assess applications and systems changes implemented on production and DR.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to DR.
6. Support annual DR live exercise and DR service testing plan.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field from an accredited institution.

Professional Certifications:

Preferable IT DR Implementer, DRCP, DRCS, BCM and IT Hardware and Data Center certifications.

Experience:

- 1-3 years of experience in IT DRP review, execution, and exercise coordination.

- 1-2 years of knowledge in an IT Business Continuity and updating IT Disaster Recovery documentation, Risk Assessments, coordinating exercises & live invocations.

- 1-2 years of experience on analysis of application interdependencies and the corresponding documentation.

- 1-2 years of experience in DR Automation, Backup & recovery, replication, and Redundancy.

Skills:

1. Knowledge in Disaster Recovery activities with understanding of planning & testing.
2. Knowledge in IT Operating system and hardware like Windows, Linux, Solaris, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Citrix, VMWare, CISCO Telephony, SAN.
3. Understanding of different networking components like routers, switches, firewalls.
4. Hands-on experience of Business continuity principles and operation.
5. Team player.
6. Effective communication both written and verbal.
