IT Applications & Business Solutions Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively gather & communicate additional user reporting requirements to the SAP Functional Lead.
  • Report application bugs, follow up and implement recommended fixes with coordination with SAP Functional Team.
  • Maintain and sustain technical operations of the installed business applications.
  • Support technical roll-out of business applications.
  • Work closely with SAP Functional Lead on external applications integration to the implemented solution to understand the functionalities.
  • Resolve technical issues within defined SLAs.
  • Improve the current technical landscape.
  • Provide a broad range of services for critical infrastructure providers to enhance cyber security and compliance.
  • Engage with all levels of personnel regarding cyber security requirements.

Project Management Role

  • Work with the Applications Manager to develop SAP Technical Support and Projects Implementation plans, assigning duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to the project team.
  • Identify and communicate resource requirements, ensuring resources availability to support implementation.
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Ensure that all phases of the project are properly and successfully implemented on time. Prepare project progress reports and communicate status to the project team and senior management.
  • Update the Applications Manager with the implementation status/milestones and ask for assistance when needed to ensure a successful implementation plan.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation. Amend documentation with any changes and enhancements, distributing and communicating changes to the technical team along with SAP Functional Team.
  • Manage and track consultant timesheets to achieve maximum utilization of consultant time and ensure cost savings.

Implementation Role

  • Direct and coordinate the work of consultants to install, set up, and test technical modules.
  • Partner with the technical team to perform the following:
  • Perform technical process analysis (current processes, recommended processes/procedures, reporting requirements) using the appropriate analysis and implementation methodology.
  • Specify technical scenarios for acceptance testing Test Scenario.
  • Coordinate with technical resources on technical staff training requirements and timing.
  • Test applications and apply quality measures before signing acceptance.
  • Evaluate specific technical requirements and recommend how each can be incorporated into the application.
  • Identify and document application roles and responsibilities.
  • Review current processes, future processes, reporting requirements documents with the technical team and obtain appropriate approvals and signatures.
  • Work closely with SAP Functional Team on functional activities.

Change Management Role

  • Play a leading role in introducing change management.
  • Effectively manage all training/change management activities.
  • Educate the technical team to use the information to help in building the technicalities & screening opportunities.
  • Amend application technical processes document with all changes and enhancements, distributing and communicating changes to the technical team.
  • Document and explain new system functionality to the technical/functional team from a technical POV.

Measures

  • Ensure all implementations are working properly.
  • Manage and maintain the Production system technicalities in a proper way according to best practices technically.
  • Ensure all proper audit procedures are in place and executed according to SAP technicalities.

Required Knowledge / Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Computer Information Systems or other related field.
  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Extensive IT experience in Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) applications Implementation and development.
  • Experience in business processes analysis and a business-oriented mindset.
  • Strong knowledge in project rollout procedures and project management.
  • Ability to interact with business users and heads of business functions.
  • Ability to negotiate with managers on outcomes and influence thinking.
  • Orientation for customer service and a desire to help out of the way.
  • Good documentation and communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Analytical thinking and communication skills.
  • SAP certificates are a must.
  • SAP ABAP and SAP FIORI experience.
  • SAP Integration Platforms and Business Technology Platform (SAP Portfolio) experience.
