Job Description
What you will do
The main purpose of this role will be to support the Senior Investor Program Executive in identifying investor attendees for all portfolio events and inviting them to participate.
The role includes onboarding investors onto all event opportunities (such as matchmaking and mentorship schemes with startups), nurturing those relationships, and being present at events on-site to deal with investor attendee enquiries and additional support when requested.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Outreach and Engagement:
- Identify and reach out to potential investor attendees for portfolio events.
- Actively engage with investors to communicate the value propositions of participating in the events.
Invitation Management:
- Extend invitations to targeted investors, ensuring a diverse and influential representation.
- Coordinate and manage the invitation process, including follow-up communications and confirmations.
Onboarding Investors:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for investors, providing information on event opportunities such as matchmaking and mentorship schemes with startups.
- Ensure investors are well-informed about the event agenda and networking opportunities.
Relationship Building:
- Nurture relationships with investors before, during, and after events to enhance their overall experience.
- Act as a point of contact for investor inquiries and requests, providing personalized support.
Event Presence:
- Be present at events to assist with on-site logistics related to investor attendees.
- Address inquiries and provide additional support as requested by investors during the events.
Networking Facilitation:
- Facilitate networking opportunities for investors, connecting them with relevant startups, industry leaders, and other attendees.
- Work closely with the matchmaking team to ensure effective connections between investors and startups.
Feedback Collection:
- Gather feedback from investors regarding their experience at portfolio events.
- Compile insights and suggestions for improvement, providing valuable input for future events.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Collaborate with the Senior Investor Program Executive and other team members to align strategies and objectives.
- Work closely with the events team to coordinate logistics and provide seamless support for investor attendees.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of investor interactions and engagement.
- Generate reports on investor participation and feedback for internal analysis.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends and investor preferences to enhance the relevance of event offerings.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continually improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Event Management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in investor relations, event management, or a similar role in the startup or investment ecosystem
- Proven track record of successful investor engagement and relationship management
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the investment landscape and startup ecosystem
- Up-to-date knowledge of investment trends, startup ecosystems, and emerging technologies
- Understanding of various investment stages and investor types (e.g., angel investors, venture capitalists, corporate investors)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in investor outreach and engagement strategies
- Experience in event management and coordination
- Knowledge of matchmaking and mentorship programs in the startup-investor context
- Familiarity with CRM systems and database management
Organizational and Administrative Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining accurate records and reports
- Experience in coordinating invitations and managing guest lists for high-profile events

- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical aspects of event setup and coordination
