Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an Interface Manager (Saudi National) to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA. Role Purpose: To organize and manage interfaces effectively, ensuring project objectives are met in accordance with NEOM's policies and procedures across all project management fields. This includes developing and implementing strategies for managing various interface topics. Key Accountabilities & Activities:
Planning and Strategy:
Conduct assessments, analyze, and comprehend interface topics while overseeing progress to achieve objectives in a timely manner.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all parties involved in interface topics, including clients, contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
Support the development of comprehensive interface management plans and strategies to identify, track, record, and report on interface management throughout all project stages.
Engage and collaborate with diverse partners, such as NEOM sectors, proponents, Saudi authorities, project team members, and contractors to foster effective communication, address concerns, and align objectives.
Review project documents and plans, collecting and analyzing data to identify gaps, ensuring adherence to project specifications, NEOM environmental standards, and safety and quality protocols.
Identify potential interface risks, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation measures to minimize their impact on the project.
Manage relationships among interface stakeholders to ensure strong communication, good relations, and a common understanding throughout the project stages, resolving interface topics promptly.
Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement in the interface management approach.
Stay updated on industry trends, research innovative technologies, and recommend improvements to reduce interface risk.
Provide vision and leadership to the Interface Management team, ensuring performance effectiveness and efficiency.
People Management:
Foster a culture of development, guidance, and performance within the interface team.
Collaborate with the Interface Director to build and maintain a high-performance team.
Participate in setting performance requirements and recruiting for positions within the interface office.
Set performance objectives, provide support, evaluate/appraise staff, and offer regular feedback on performance.
Promote a high-performance working environment that embraces NEOM's values.
Develop and implement a capacity development program for interface staff.
Background, Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry best practices and interface management techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Proven experience in managing relationships with environmental management authorities, including the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the National Center for Environmental Compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive sustainable environmental management practices.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and practices related to construction and operational management.
Knowledge of environmental assessment reports, modeling, systems, and tools.
Strong management skills for effectively leading project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field (minimum); master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the environmental industry.
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) preferred.
