Job Description
Our client, a premier medical facility, is currently looking for an Intensive Care Nurse (Critical Care and Cardiac) to be based in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for critically ill patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills to monitor, assess, and intervene as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, interpreting lab results, and recognizing changes in patient conditions.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained.
Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment to assess patients' heart rhythms, blood pressure, and other critical parameters, intervening as necessary.
Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies.
Respond effectively to emergencies, including code situations, and implement appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
Valid nursing license in Saudi Arabia or eligibility for licensures.
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in intensive care, with a focus on cardiac nursing preferred.
Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills; ability to work effectively under pressure.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Critical Care Nursing certification is a plus.
Strong experience in ventilator setup and ventilated patient management, inotropes and cardiac medication, cardiac monitoring, stroke management, ECG interpretation.
