Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for conducting quality control inspections of instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
TASKS:
- Conducting quality control inspections of instrumentation systems, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices, control valves, and safety systems;
- Reviewing project specifications, engineering drawings, and documentation to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards;
- Performing visual inspections, functional testing, and calibration checks of instrumentation equipment to verify accuracy, reliability, and performance;
- Documenting inspection findings, deviations, and non-conformities, and work closely with project stakeholders to address issues and implement corrective actions;
- Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve technical queries and ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues;
- Monitoring the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality assurance plans;
- Conducting vendor inspections and factory acceptance tests to verify the quality and conformance of instrumentation equipment and components;
- Providing technical support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors on instrumentation-related matters, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications or training in quality control and inspection are desirable;
- 3+ years of experience in instrumentation inspection, with specific experience in the oil and gas industry;
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, standards, and practices, including API, ANSI, and ISA codes;
- Experience with inspection techniques, testing methodologies, and quality management systems (ISO 9001, API Q1);
- Familiarity with industry software tools such as SAP, CMMS, or inspection management systems is a plus;
- Aramco Approvals is considered a must;
- Fluent level of written and spoken English.
