Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing VMware vSphere, SAN storage, Active Directory, VDI administration, and Cisco UCs servers. This role requires a professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in these areas, along with certifications to validate expertise. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. VMware vSphere:

• Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot vCenter, ESXi hosts, and VM lifecycle management.
• Implement best practices for VMware infrastructure, including resource allocation and performance tuning.
• Manage VMware vMotion, High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and Fault Tolerance (FT).

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot EMC SAN storage solutions.
• Ensure data availability, redundancy, and performance.
• Handle storage provisioning, LUN creation, and zoning in SAN environments.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies for critical data.

• Install, configure, and manage VMware Horizon View for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
• Administer VDI desktops, pools, and users to ensure high availability and performance.
• Ensure seamless end-user experience and troubleshoot VDI-related issues.

• Configure and manage Cisco Unified Communications (UC) servers, including call manager, voicemail, and collaboration platforms.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Cisco UC systems and integrate them with other communication tools.
• Implement and manage telephony solutions in a unified communications environment.

Required Technical Skills:

• VMware vSphere installation, configuration, and management.
• EMC SAN storage management and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user administration.
• Expertise in VMware Horizon View (VDI) setup and management.
• Cisco Unified Communications (UC) systems, including call manager and collaboration tools.
• Experience with backup solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.

Certifications Required:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) in VMware vSphere.
• VMware Horizon View Certification.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in managing VMware vSphere environments, EMC storage, Active Directory, VDI, and Cisco UCs servers.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and systems administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
