Infrastructure and Systems Engineer L3

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Systems Engineer L3 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing both virtual and physical server environments while overseeing critical IT operations. Your expertise will ensure the availability, performance, and security of our systems, making a significant impact within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage both virtual and physical server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Oversee the administration of Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including user access, permissions, and policy management.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues while supervising the operations team to ensure seamless IT services.
• Upgrade and install IT infrastructure hardware, including servers, devices, and firewalls.
• Monitor service level agreements with vendors and manage licenses and compliance.
• Ensure efficient deployment of new applications and maintain technical documentation.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server, Windows clustering, domain controller setup, and group policy.
• Design and configure internal servers, network devices, and firewalls to meet client specifications.
• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency strategies for IT initiatives.
• Establish monitoring functions, configuration management, and reporting systems to ensure a non-intrusive environment.
• Maintain security protocols and best practices regarding server infrastructure, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform routine system backups and restoration procedures while developing best practices for system support.
• Assist in evaluating hardware and software vendors, providing recommendations, and negotiating contracts.
• Collaborate with a government organization and leverage expertise in GWS Cloud and advanced server technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems and server management, including at least 2 years within Saudi Arabia, preferably with government entities.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft and Linux server operating systems, virtual environments (VMware, Hypervisors), and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with security solutions, including PAM, MDM, disk encryption, EDR, DLP, and more.
• Experience with FS ASM, WAF, GSM, and SSL offloading technologies.
