Information Technology Project Lead

Job Purpose

The IT Lead is responsible for the day-to-day running of the IT-related tasks in a project on behalf of the Project Manager. They may lead and manage a project team in case of an IT project. The IT Lead Manager must have the necessary skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Plan the project IT work stream, covering a multitude of activities based on the project's scale.
2. Design project technical control mechanisms and assist the Project Manager in reporting progress, controlling change, and managing risks.
3. Design control and reporting mechanisms suitable for the project, adapting and modifying any standard processes available within NBK-KSA.
4. Manage technical project scope.
5. Manage and report progress.
6. Be accountable for the quality of IT deliverables.
7. Lead the end-to-end delivery of various technology projects, including scope planning, resource planning, delivery milestones, and cost budgeting.
8. Ensure technology projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while focusing on the quality of outcomes.
9. Build and maintain achievable delivery plans by coordinating internal teams and external suppliers.
10. Actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place.
11. Maintain clear and effective communication with relevant stakeholders, providing regular project updates and managing expectations.
12. Ensure smooth transition of project outcomes into a steady-state support arrangement, including adoption into centralized IT support processes.
13. Continually look for ways to improve working methods and support the implementation of changes.

Qualification & Experience:

1. B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
2. Experience in project management of technology-related projects.
3. PMP certification is a must.
