Job Description:

The role reports to the Team Lead Infrastructure and the Head of Engineering (Chief Engineer). The role is based in Riyadh, but frequent travel to locations in Saudi Arabia is required. Occasional international travel is also expected.

The successful candidate shall hold the following required qualifications and should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology / Sciences or related field
2. Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain certification
3. Advanced knowledge in MS Word and Excel
4. More than 10 years of relevant experience is mandatory in supporting large complex programs / projects
5. Experienced in the creation and definition of Installation Manuals, such as OEM manuals and Data Sheets
6. Experience in the writing of Product Breakdown Structure
7. Experience in the detailed planning for the preparation of technical documentation
8. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, solution-oriented
10. Strong service orientation, delivery focus, self-motivation and capability to solve conflicts
11. Good communication skills; both written and verbal
12. Quality sensitiveness
13. Team player and cooperative
14. Flexible (willingness to travel) / adaptable / enthusiastic / motivated / self-confident
15. Ability to work in a customer-oriented environment and within the cultural environment of Saudi Arabia
16. Working level of English speaking and writing

Beneficial Qualifications and Experience:

1. Have a strong engineering background working on large integration projects
2. Experience in working with direct interface to the customer
3. Driving license

Key Result Areas & Areas Of Accountability:

1. Create, update and maintain technical documentation, including installation manuals and user guides and API references
2. Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up to date and readily accessible
3. Support the INFRA with the creation of site type PBS
4. Work closely with Engineering Team to understand technical details and ensure that documentation is comprehensive
5. Participate in the Change Request process
6. Participate in document reviews to identify areas where technical documentation can be improved
7. Support technical writing support to other teams as needed
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve documentation-related issues
9. Strong understanding of technical writing and documentation standards
10. Familiarization with software development lifecycles and methodologies
11. Schedules due dates to drawings, specifications, software technical manuals and related documents
12. Act self-sustained and as a team player
