As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for shift execution and team supervision and engagement in your area of the Fulfillment Centre. Along with your manager and line operators, you’ll work closely to ensure that the assigned department is performing in line with the plan and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded. A core part of your responsibilities will be to ensure that the team performs efficiently to fulfill customer orders while adhering to safety and quality guidelines. This includes taking care of your team and creating an engaging working atmosphere, addressing barriers faced by line operators throughout the shift, and adjusting the shift plan to account for any last-minute changes.
The right candidate will demonstrate a good sense of ownership, the ability to lead by example in all key areas of performance including safety and quality, and the ability to develop subject matter expertise on all operations processes in their assigned department.
Key job responsibilities:
– 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
– High school or equivalent.
– Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
– Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
– Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
– Basic understanding of Lean methodology.
– Analytical skills (able to identify problem root cause, predict issues by looking at data and Key Performance Indicators).
– Orientation towards detail and precision.
– Ability to deep dive into operations processes and develop ideas for process challenges.
– Capable of working the entire MS Office suite, especially Excel.
– Inventory & Quality Assurance Management experience.
– Proactive problem solving and hands-on approach.
– Ability to learn new skills and information and adapt to changes and deliver results whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
