HVAC Techincian

Job Description

Reports to the Engineering Supervisor regarding daily work progress and work order completion. Attains all A/C complaint reports on a daily basis. Guest room trouble is given priority. Works closely with Engineering Supervisor and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance programs. Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures, and instructions. Carries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.

Other Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to the following:

1. Able to read Building services, Air-conditioning, Refrigeration, and Electrical drawings.
2. Able to fault find and repair air-conditioning and building control systems.
3. Good electrical knowledge.
4. Knowledge of BMS systems.
5. Experience of reciprocating Chillers, Air handling plants, and cold rooms.
6. Familiar with planned Preventive Maintenance and Safety programmes.
7. Flexible and team player – able to work on own initiative.
8. Good understanding of water treatment techniques and able to handle chemicals.
9. Makes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properly.
10. Carries out guest room maintenance according to schedule program.
11. Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and parties.
12. Daily refrigeration log sheet to be filled and temperature to be recorded.
13. Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by supervisor.
14. Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition, keep their working place neat and clean.
15. Understand the Raffles Brand and operating standards.
16. Participate and assist in other projects as required.
17. Ensure that all HVAC stocks are ordered and that the stores are well managed and maintained.

Qualifications

Personal Attributes:

• Good all-round practical trade skills inclusive of fabrication, installation, and maintenance.
• Ability to do Gas and Arch welding.
• Good English command.

Qualifications:

• Secondary School + Technical College or equivalent.
