To support the HSES Manager through the management and development of systems to ensure compliance with statute, certifications, and organizational HSES requirements. Key deliverables of this function include:
General: Acceptable level of computer and English skills are mandatory in verbal communication and writing. Physical, body, and health fitness must be at acceptable strength and condition. Able to work at different shift schedules (as per operations requirement).
Education & Experience: Typically at least five years of HSE or related experience in a manufacturing, oilfield, or similar environment. NEBOSH Diploma or BS degree on OH&S, NEBOSH General Certificate OH&S or equivalent. Experience in maintaining HSE management systems and leading HSE Management system audits.
Technical & Problem Solving Skills: Basic knowledge of local HSE regulations. Experience of implementing key HSE processes resulting in positive cultural change. Experience of leading/facilitating/mentoring projects/meetings/HSE Teams. Ability to identify deviations from standards.
Preferred Knowledge: Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO), Management of Change (MOC) Process, Incident Investigation and Reporting, Root Cause Analysis, Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment (HAZID or HAZOP studies).
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills – ability to interact with a wide spectrum of disciplines and produce concise accurate reports. Able to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching. Experience of implementing key HSE processes resulting in positive cultural change.
Work Environment: Works in an office environment approximately 30% of the time using standard office equipment. Works in manufacturing and service facility environments 60% of the time, which involves moderate exposure to hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, noise levels, inclement weather, and shop machinery. Conducts field visits to operational sites including remote areas and offshore rigs (10%).
Physical Demands: Potential for extended walking, bending, climbing, stooping, and moderate lifting daily. Periodic assistance handling containerized chemicals and wastes by hand or mechanical means.
