Job Description

1. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections on offshore platforms to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
2. Develop and implement emergency response plans tailored to offshore operations, ensuring all personnel are trained and prepared.
3. Lead safety meetings and training sessions, fostering a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
4. Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, ensuring that offshore activities minimize ecological impact.
6. Assist in the preparation and review of HSE documentation, including risk assessments and safety management plans.
7. Act as a liaison between operational teams and management, communicating HSE concerns and strategies effectively.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the organization maintains best practices.
9. Facilitate the implementation of personal protective equipment (PPE) programs and ensure compliance among personnel.
10. Report regularly to senior management on HSE performance metrics and improvement initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, specifically in offshore or marine environments, is essential.
3. NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent HSE certification is a must for this position.
4. Proven experience in conducting safety audits and risk assessments specific to offshore operations.
5. Fluency in English is required, with additional proficiency in other languages being a distinct advantage.
6. Strong understanding of international safety regulations, including OSHA, ISO, and local maritime laws.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey safety protocols.
8. Demonstrated ability to lead training sessions and influence a diverse workforce towards safety compliance.
9. Proficiency in HSE management software and tools for reporting and data analysis is highly desired.
10. Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions, including adaptability, resilience, and strong physical fitness.
