HSE/Safety - Officer/Engineer

Location: Saudi Arabia

No. Of Positions: 15

Qualification: Nebosh + BE/BTech./Diploma Engineer/ B. Sc./Any Graduate

Package: SAR 5000 to 12000 per month

Important:

  • Preference to candidates having Aramco Experience (With Aramco Approval)/ PDO Approval/Any Middle East client Approval
  • Preference to candidates that can mobilize immediately
  • Should have Valid Indian Passport with at least 1 year Validity
  • Passport should have at least 1 face-to-face page
  • Candidates with prior Saudi experience should have final exit paper with them

Job Profile:

  • Develop and implement effective safety programs and policies in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and develop corrective actions to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
  • Provide training and education on safety procedures and best practices to all employees.
  • Monitor compliance with safety standards and report any incidents or breaches to management.
  • Participate in incident investigations and develop recommendations for preventing recurrence.
  • Develop Health & Safety Management System plan for newly mobilized sites.
  • Conduct Risk assessment review of sites in the region & support for External party reviews.
  • Support Country Electrical Authorization program & identify competent SPOC from sites & ensure participation.
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and updates of all HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate safety communications like safety alerts, quick shares with all sites and verify the same during site observation.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor HSE systems to avoid any incident/accident and ensure HSE legal compliance.
  • Prepare annual HSE action plan for the region by considering the gaps emerging out of audits & inspections.
  • Facilitate internal & external HSE training, awareness programs & knowledge transfer.
  • Conduct Client and Operations HSE meetings.
  • Influence others to promote proactive workplace Health, Environment & safety management system.
  • Plan and conduct regular audits in health safety/Occupational Safety & environment within the scope of services at sites in the region, reporting and following up on the Non-Compliances.
  • Ensure that safety standards are maintained and continually seek ways to improve safety standards.
  • Establish relevant documentation and maintain records as per HSE needs.
  • Implement subcontractor management process.
  • Ensure HSE Prequalification and Authorization of New Subcontractors.
  • Provide written instructions of work methods outlining potential hazards and precautions, and ensure they are complied with.
  • Ensure accident and near-miss reporting procedures are understood and complied with, and assist with accident investigations where appropriate.
  • Ensure all employees and sub-contractors are suitably trained/competent to carry out the prescribed tasks and that the necessary licenses/certificates of competence are in force and appropriate.
  • Ensure the Statutory Notices, the Safety Policy, Insurance Certificate and the names of Appointed First Aiders are displayed and maintained in prominent locations.
  • Schedule Work Safety Certification and Induction for new joins.
  • Coordinate with Ops Team Managers for HSE campaign rollouts, evaluation and tracking.
  • Develop HSE Interface Development and discussion with Client.
  • Follow up for Mobilization Plan & ensure Due diligence of sites prior to mobilization. Ensure Compliance.
  • Maintain all safety records, records & certificates as required under the ISO22000-2005 & HSE standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • NEBOSH + BE/BTech./Diploma Engineer/ B. Sc./Any Graduate + Diploma in Industrial Safety
  • Work Experience of 5 to 15 yrs in Industrial/Oil & Gas/ Power projects
  • Strong knowledge of HSE principles, risk analysis, and risk management techniques.
  • Familiarity with local safety laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
