Job description

We’re looking for an experienced HSE Manager to join our dynamic team for an exciting project in the events industry. If you have a sharp eye for detail, a proactive approach to risk, and solid experience in temporary event structures and site safety, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce all health, safety, and environmental procedures across the event site.
  • Conduct risk assessments for all temporary event structures including staging, rigging, electrical setups, and crowd control barriers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local HSE regulations, as well as event-specific safety codes.
  • Manage emergency response plans, fire safety drills, and evacuation protocols.
  • Monitor site operations to identify unsafe conditions and take corrective actions.
  • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for contractors and on-site personnel.
  • Liaise with production, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure safety is prioritized at all stages of build and dismantle.
  • Maintain safety documentation, inspection logs, and incident reports.
  • Lead incident investigations and report findings to senior management.
  • Coordinate with first aid and emergency services teams when required.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Certifications:
  • NEBOSH Diploma (National or International)
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
  • First Aid / CPR certification (preferred)
  • Fire Safety & Evacuation Training (preferred)

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, with proven experience in event build environments (temporary structures, staging, large-scale public gatherings).
  • In-depth understanding of OSHA standards and local safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Able to assess complex risks quickly and implement practical solutions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment, rigging, scaffolding, and high-risk areas of event construction.
