Develop, review, and update the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Implement HSE strategies in alignment with business objectives.
Ensure all operations comply with HSE legislation and best practices.
Risk Management:
Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
Ensure all corrective actions are completed and documented.
Training & Awareness:
Develop and deliver HSE training programs for all employees.
Promote awareness of HSE policies and practices through regular communication and campaigns.
Ensure that all staff receive appropriate HSE training and certifications.
Incident Management:
Investigate and report all HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents.
Analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend preventive measures.
Lead incident investigation teams and ensure all findings are communicated and corrective actions are implemented.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all relevant local, regional, and international HSE regulations.
Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
Liaise with external agencies and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
Environmental Management:
Develop and implement environmental management plans.
Monitor and report on environmental impact, including waste management, emissions, and resource consumption.
Promote sustainability initiatives within the organization.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
Conduct regular drills and training to ensure readiness for emergencies.
Coordinate with emergency services as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to continuously improve HSE performance.
Monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices into the company’s HSE programs.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement in HSE management across the organization.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage the HSE team, including setting objectives, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the HSE team.
Mentor and develop junior HSE staff to build the next generation of HSE leaders.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HSE management.
