The Role


The HR Manager in our rapidly expanding Saudi Arabia team and business is primarily responsible for partnering with Business Line, Sector, Sub Sector, Service Line, and Global Business Functions teams to develop and implement practical strategies and solutions to current and anticipated talent needs, challenges, and opportunities. Success in this role requires strong business acumen and talent management skills to work with and influence your stakeholders across business and functions.


You will require strong strategic consulting and relationship management skills that enable collaboration and networking both within the HR community and throughout the local/regional organization. You will be expected to listen to the problems of the business, challenge business leader assumptions, coach and guide leaders about the talent implications of our plans and decisions.


This leadership role provides advice covering all HR specialty areas including organisational & resource planning, organisational change management, talent acquisition, onboarding & integration, performance management, career and development planning, talent management, rewards, governance, diversity & inclusion, employee engagement, belonging, and culture building.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of diverse HR professionals whilst building a high performing, resilient team/culture.
  • Leading and implementing HR strategies aligned with business strategy for assigned portfolio.
  • Supporting the leadership teams in the project management, implementation development, and achievement of the HR strategy that is aligned with the business goals.
  • Developing strategies in conjunction with the senior leadership to ensure optimal performance.
  • Leading the translation of Business Unit business plans into HR strategies and actions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and influencers across the business.
  • Seeking to understand the business and its priorities and translate this understanding to HR solutions.
  • Providing advice and guidance in relation to HR policies, procedures, and programs such as onboarding, remuneration, reward, benefits, and learning.
  • Facilitating HR programs such as onboarding, performance appraisal processes, employee survey action planning, talent and succession planning reviews, and other cyclical activities.
  • Working with managers and employees to educate and develop skills regarding HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Facilitating horizontal and vertical networks for better business performance.
  • Participating in project planning meetings and works with the Project Manager to produce the agreed project deliverables.
  • Managing direct reports to be supported as competent, capable, and experienced employees.
  • Ensuring appropriate recruitment, retention, and development of direct reports.
  • Implementing on-the-job mentoring, learning, and development opportunities within the allocated budget.
  • Undertaking regular people management activities such as the annual Performance Appraisal, Probation Reviews, and Performance Improvement Plans, in a timely manner.
  • Forecasting workloads and ensuring necessary resources to meet company and project deliverables.

Experience, Skills and Personal Attributes:


  • Minimum 15 years experience, ideally in a generalist Human Resource Management role within a multinational in the professional services industry.
  • Proven functional expertise across all areas of modern HR Management.
  • Well-developed leadership and people management/development skills - Strategic thinker.
  • Stakeholder management - work with a growing, changing environment with diverse portfolio and leaders.
  • Proven business partnership skills, ability to build internal client networks, credibility, and trust.
  • Consulting skills to personally influence at all levels – well developed relationship building skills.
  • Well developed business acumen to be able to understand competitive landscape, key drivers of the business, and required plans and actions to deliver on the business ambitions and strategies.
  • Project management and excellent communication skills - highly service orientated.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to exercise initiative and discretion.
  • Adaptable, co-operative work style to work in a team environment - works cross-functionally effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia employment laws and practices.
