Key Responsibilities
Tissue Processing: Work in the histology lab to prepare, cut, and stain tissue samples for microscopic examination.
Research Support: Assist in conducting experiments related to cell biology research.
Lab Organization: Help faculty organize structured weekly histology labs, ensuring all materials and equipment are prepared and in good working condition.
Slide Management: Keep histology slides safe and organized in boxes for regular use.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain microscopes and other laboratory equipment to ensure safe and efficient use.
Gross Anatomy Support: Assist in the gross anatomy lab as needed.
OSPE Organization: Organize Objective Structured Practical Examinations (OSPE) for each block.
Student Attendance: Take attendance for students during labs and practical sessions.
Course Facilitation: Facilitate the cell biology course for master's students.
Skills
Proficiency in histological techniques, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and basic computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
