Job Title: Health & Safety Engineer

Department: Health, Safety & Environment

Reporting To: HSE Manager

Job Purpose:

?Ensure the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local and international standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor HSE performance and ensure compliance with the company's HSE policies.
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and ensure implementation of preventive measures.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training.
• Ensure availability and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Liaise with government agencies regarding HSE matters.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar HSE role.
• Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is preferred.
• Good knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

• Site and office-based work.
• May require working in outdoor conditions and exposure to hazardous materials.
