Health Information Management Specialist

The HIS Application Specialist is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing the InterSystems TrakCare healthcare information system. This role focuses on ensuring the system's smooth operation, aligning it with clinical and operational needs, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Support and Maintenance:

• Provide technical and operational support for TrakCare modules, including troubleshooting issues and resolving user queries.
• Monitor system performance and ensure minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams to manage upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.

• Configure TrakCare modules to meet the organization's clinical and administrative requirements.
• Customize workflows, templates, and forms to optimize efficiency for end-users.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations and changes.

• Deliver training sessions and create user guides for clinical and administrative staff.
• Act as a liaison between end-users and technical teams to address system-related challenges.
• Ensure user adoption and satisfaction by providing proactive support.

• Work on integrating TrakCare with other healthcare systems and devices.
• Identify and implement opportunities for system optimization and process improvement.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

• Generate and analyze reports from TrakCare to support clinical and business decision-making.
• Maintain data accuracy and consistency across the system.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience with InterSystems TrakCare or similar healthcare information systems.
• Understanding of healthcare workflows, standards, and compliance requirements.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of TrakCare system functionality and configuration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in data reporting and analysis tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
